On October 9, 2014 the Russia's Central Bank has released 2 type of 10 rubles Brass plated steel coins to celebrate the reunification of Crimea with Russia. The coins in denomination of 10 Roubles are 22.0 mm in diameter, yellow in colour and have the rim raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference. The edge of the coins is corrugated, each section contains different number of corrugations alternating with smooth sections.
On April 2014, Art Grani foundry from the Russian city of Chelyabinsk has released a 1kg (2.2lb) .925 silver coin bearing an image of Russian President Vladimir Putin to commemorate Crimea's reunification with Russia. On the obverse in the upper part of the coins there is an inscription along the circumference: "БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), in the lower part — the year of issue "2014”. On the left and on the right there are stylized images of laurel and oak branches respectively. In the center of the disc there is an indication of the face value of the coins "10 РУБЛЕЙ” (10 ROUBLES) in two lines. Inside the figure "0” there is a protective element in the form of the figure "10” and an inscription "РУБ” (RUB) visible when changing angles of vision. In the lower part of the disc there is a trademark of a mint.

The coin reverse for the coin "Republic of Crimea” has a relief image of the Crimean architecture monument — "Swallow’s Nest” castle against the background of the Crimean peninsula contours. There are inscriptions — a date "18.03.2014”, "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) along the circumference on top and "РЕСПУБЛИКА КРЫМ” (REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA) at the bottom;

The coin reverse for the coin "Sevastopol” has a relief image of the monument to "Sunk Ships” in Sevastopol against the background of the Crimean peninsula contours with a location mark of Sevastopol on it, performed in a form of a five-pointed star. There are inscriptions — a date "18.03.2014”, "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) along the circumference on top and "СЕВАСТОПОЛЬ” (SEVASTOPOL) at the bottom.
The mintage of the coins is 10,000,000 pcs of each design.
