1 sen 1970

A 1 sen 1970 Copper Clad Steel (lot 1013)  graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as an MS 62BN will also be auctioned in Trigometric Auction 10.

5 years ago, a 1 sen 1970 Copper Clad Steel was auctioned for RM46,769 including buyer premium in Singapore. For those of you who don't know, the normal 1 sen 1970 coin is made of copper compared to this one from copper clad steel which attached to a magnet.

In 2013, only 4 coins printed using this wrong planchet were recorded. This makes it one of the rare 1 cent coins for Malaysian coin collection.
