The Mint of Poland has struck a Nieu Island 2 dollars World Cup Coin to dedicated to one of the most popular sports disciplines in the World – Football World Cup. The coin minted in in .999 fine silver with a limited mintage of 2,222 pcs.
This silver coin was made with the use of diverse technologies. Multi-coloured flags on its reverse have been mapped with the precise digital printing. Additionally, the realistic look of a ball has been emphasized by a relief and different kinds of frosting.
The coin reverse show a relief image of a ball on center with 32 of the country's flags which participate in this year’s competition around the ball and a group of football fans against a mirror-like surface infront of the ball.
The coin obverse show the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On the right – the mint mark (m/w). Below – the hallmark: Ag 999. In the rim – inscriptions: ELIZABETH II, NIUE ISLAND (the issuer), 2 DOLLARS (the face value) and the year of issue – 2014. Along the rim – a decorative motif in the form of dots.
