One Rial Oman 43rd National Day Silver coin

On Monday, The Central Bank of Oman has released a One Rial Oman 43rd National Day Silver Commemorative coin depicting a resemblance of the Umayyad Dirham which was Minted in Oman in 81 H at the center. This commemorative coin is a Legal Tender for its face value and may be purchased from Central Bank of Oman.

Umayyad Dirham

The resemblance to the Umayyad Dirham at the center on the reverse side of the new commemorative coin was to commemorate its historical significance as a value addition to the Omani civilization.

Rial Oman

Coin obverse show Oman Coat of Arms, the name of the country (Sultanate of Oman), the name of Central Bank of Oman, and Denomination in Arabic and English. The coin reverse depicts a resemblance of the Umayyad Dirham Minted in Oman 81 H at the center.

The release further stated that the coin weighing about 28.28 gms, in denomination of R.O 1 can be purchased from Central Bank of Oman at a price of R.O. 18. The distinctive features, specifications and indicative selling price of this coin are mentioned below; however the price is subject to change in accordance with the variations in the prices of silver in the International Market.
