No prefix RM1000 Jaffar Hussein in Trigometric Auction 4

A rare error banknote, (Lot 275) 1000 Ringgit 6th Series Jaffar Hussein Error banknote with missing prefix number graded PMG 66EPQ will be the main highlight in the upcoming Trigometric Auction 4, 16 October 2016. The banknote estimate to sell for RM15,000-RM30,000.

Trigometric Auction 4 will be held at Serunai Suite, Level 1, East Wing, Hilton Hotel Petaling Jaya, (P.J. Hilton), 2, Jalan Barat, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

The auction for coins, world & Malaysia banknotes will start at 9.30am (1 - 212) and 12.30pm for Malaysia banknotes (Lot 213 - 483).

50 cents Constantinople Estate

Another main highlight for the auction is (Lot 276) 50 cents Constantinople Estate note with low serial number (No.4). The private banknote for Kukup Concession of Syed Mohammad Bin Ahmad Alsagof in Johor is extremely rare, previously mounted and in Very Fine Condition. The banknote estimate to sell for RM45,000-RM60,000.

100 Ringgit 888888

A 100 Ringgit, 4th Series banknote Signed by Tan Sri Aziz Taha (Lot 393) with a Solid 8 Serial number A/29 888888 graded PMG 55 AU will also be auction with a price estimate of RM25,000-RM50,000. Judging from the recent BNM banknote auction, that price should be going up more since this is a 4th series banknote, its hard to find the 4th series banknote compare to the recent 12th series banknote.

LIMA Gold

In the coin section, 100 Ringgit Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA) Gold Commemorative Coin (Lot 85) with certificate no. 028 will be estimate to sell for RM6,000-RM8,000. For the record, only 50 pcs 100 Ringgit Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA) Gold Commemorative Coin issued by Bank Negara Malaysia in 2003.

1999 Millennium

Another 1999 Millennium RM500 Proof Gold coin (Lot 83) will be auction in the Trigometric Auction. In Trigometric 2nd auction held October last year, a 1999 Millennium RM500 Proof Gold coin sold for RM9,500 (excluding buyer premium). The Commemorative Millennium Gold Coin (Lot 83) RM500 999.9 Gold Coin with certificate, estimate to sell for RM8,000-RM11,000. The actual mintage for this gold coin is unknown.

Lot viewing for the Trigometric Auction 4 will only be held on 14 and 15 October 2016 from 10.30am until 6.00pm at Trigometric shop, level 3, Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya.

Buyer premium is 15% for floor bid and 18% for liveauctioneers.com internet bidding. You can pay using cash or credit card but the charges for credit card is 3%. You also need to add 6% GST for the buyer premium.
