2014 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin

On 22 May 2014, the United States Mint open the sales for 2014 American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin. The 22-karat gold coin is struck on specially burnished blanks and has a finish similar to its bullion counterpart. However, unlike its bullion counterpart, the American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin bears the "W" mint mark of the United States Mint at West Point.

American Eagle

The coin reverse design, by sculptor Miley Busiek, features a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings.

Lady Liberty

The American Eagle Gold Coin's obverse design features a rendition of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' full length figure of Lady Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.

The American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin is the collector version of the American Eagle One Ounce Gold Bullion Coin. Each coin is encapsulated in plastic and mounted in a presentation case. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
