Perth Mint Sales and Marketing Director, Ron Currie said: “Australia’s bullion coins attract interest from individual to institutional investors across Australasia, China, Japan, Europe and North America.
According to Thomson Reuters Gold Fields Minerals Survey figures, Australia’s investment coins maintain a strong fourth position in the global marketplace.
“By enhancing the quality of our bullion coins with annual design changes and select mintages, we’re confident that our world market share will continue to grow at a steady pace,” Mr Currie continued.
To satisfy the expected high level of demand, The Perth Mint will release the program over the next five months. The Australian Lunar and Kookaburra series will be available from September, followed by the Kangaroo in October, the Koala in November, and the Platypus in January.
