New Zealand Post has release The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey coins to commemorate Sir Peter Jackson's trilogy of films based on The Hobbit, productions of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. New Zealand Post is authorised by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as the only official issuer of legal tender New Zealand commemorative coins. The silver, gold and Brilliant Uncirculated coins come in a single piece and sets with a limited mintage. The coins comes with a collectable folder, case or box and individually numbered certificate of authenticity. For each coins, New Zealand Post inscribed them in English and Dwarvish (language spoken by the dwarves). New Zealand Post also produce official stamps for the movie.
