The Best 50 sen 1969 Milled Edge in CAA Auction 7

The highest grade 50 sen 1969 Milled Edge (w/o Security Edge) PCGS MS 66 will be auctioned in the Collectibles Auction Asia (CAA) 7th Auction on 23 April 2016 at Landmark Village Hotel, Singapore. As of 22 February 2016, none have been certified finer by either Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), the second best 50 sen 1969 Milled Edge is a NGC MS65.

If any of you still remember, on 4th October 2014, a coin from Mr. Wong Hon Sum collection, a 50 sen 1969 Milled Edge graded NGC MS 65 sold for a record price RM81,846 (SGD32,200) including buyer premium in Collectibles Auction Asia (CAA), Singapore, Coins & Banknotes Auction 4/2014.

Another highlight for the CAA Auction 7/2016 is a complete set of Malaysia, 1986-1995 (No date), 6th series CONTOH banknotes signed by the BNM Governor Tan Sri Dato Jaffar Hussein. Engraved & Printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd, England. All with red “CONTOH” on face and back.

A coupon, featured in Master Sifu Steven Tan “Standard Catalogue of Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Coin & Paper Money” book is also one of the highlight for this auction. The coupon, Singapore Island 5 Katis of Dry Rubber, valid until 30th September 1939 Multiple “R” Watermark, Printer: The Survey Department F.M.S.

Malaysia proof

A special Malaysia Official Proof Set, issued to long serving senior officials of Bank Negara Malaysia security staff on their retirement (according to Collectibles Auction Asia) will be one of the highlight for Malaysia coins in this auction.
