PNG add NGC price guide in their website

The Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) has revamped its website so that collectors now can conveniently find on one site the current retail values of U.S. coins as well as easily locate knowledgeable, reputable rare coin and banknote dealers. The PNG website also has now been optimized for easy use on mobile devices.

“In addition to streamlining the ‘Find PNG Dealers’ feature, we now have a prominent link to the extensive Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) online price guide that lists more than 100,000 prices for various U.S. coins in different grades,” said PNG Executive Director Robert Brueggeman.

“NGC is the world’s largest rare coin authentication and grading service, and is the official certification service of PNG. Their price guide is an authoritative reference for the current values of NGC-certified coins. So, on one website you can conveniently and quickly get current prices and locate dealers who specialize in buying and selling those coins,” stated PNG President Dana Samuelson.

PNG also plans to add useful “how to” videos to the website to provide useful consumer education and investor protection information.

“Our revised website also offers a link for doing business with members of the PNG Accredited Precious Metals Dealer (APMD) program. AMPD dealers specialize in buying and selling silver, gold, platinum and palladium bullion coins and ingots. The APMD website (www.APMDdealers.org) now features current spot prices for precious metals and the top 10 most popular bullion items as well as charts of historical bullion prices,” said Brueggeman.

The NGC Price Guide currently lists values for 125,000 U.S. coins, and can be accessed from desktop computers, tablets and smart phones. “The NGC U.S. Coin Price Guide features 11 years of historical pricing data with the ability to chart changes in a coin's value over time and compare historical values for multiple coins. There are two full time analysts, both with decades of coin pricing experience, updating pricing every day in the NGC U.S. Coin Price Guide,” explained NGC Vice President of Sales and Marketing Max Spiegel.

The PNG is a nonprofit organization founded in 1955 and composed today of many of the top dealers in the United States and around the world who must adhere to a strict code of ethics in the buying and selling of numismatic merchandise. PNG’s revamped website now provides expanded resources to collectors, dealers and the general public.
