London Mint 1 ringgit

Do you know some of the 1971 1 ringgit coins minted in London Mint? According to Saran Singh Book, 500,000 pieces were minted in London. This first series of Malaysia 1 ringgit have artistic design with hibiscus (Malaysia National Flower) and a dollar ($1) sign on the Obverse. On the Reverse is the Parliament House over a crescent moon with 14 stars. It has a plain edge with a letters -BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA. It has a diameter of 33.5 mm, weight 16.85 g and have Cupro-nickel composition.

Do you know how to differentiate London mint and local mint? You need to look carefully at the lettered edge-BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA, London mint is very neat, clear and clean U-shaped incused grooves. The coins minted by local Shah Alam factory are normally come with a thin lettering (the London Mint look fat). You need to compare the coin one by one and look at the difference between them. Just look for coins with a fat lettering.

3) London Mint, The word "Malaysia",the alphabet "S" are different from the local mint. The "S" are taller on the London Mint than the local mint.
I have been searching for this information since 2005 when I found it for the first time. That is the only one I could find.
