2015 Cricket World Cup Silver Coin

New Zealand Post has released a 2015 Cricket World Cup Silver Coin with Gold Plating to commemorate the ICC Cricket World Cup. The 1 oz .999 silver coin comes housed in a specially designed case, which resembles a test match cricket ball. With a limited mintage of just 2,015 coins available worldwide.

The coin reverse features the ICC Cricket World Cup logo in gold plating and incorporates a curved design to replicate a real cricket ball. The coin obverse show a Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, United Kingdom.

The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the 11th ICC Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015. 49 matches will be played in 14 venues with Australia staging 26 games at grounds in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney while New Zealand hosts 23 games in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Wellington. The final match of the tournament will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
